Talk about a heavy week for our city. Seattle, WA- this past week we said goodbye to 6 citizens who lost their lives for no good reason, we also said goodbye to state controlled liquor, sayonara plastic bags viva la paper bags. Times are changing, but we just have to keep on moving. I know we are always suppose to remain grateful and count our blessings, and I admit...sometimes I just forget. This past week has heightened my sense of gratefulness and has put me back in my place. The thought of "it could have been me" when I read horrible stories of tragedies triggers both a sense of relief, fear, and an urgency to live my life as much as I can. I am feeling very blessed to be able to do the things I love to do, and to have the support of my family and friends. Some people aren't as lucky, and to think that life can end prematurely makes me want to do more with the time I have here. I don't know why I get so affected by things on the news sometimes...maybe because I'm human? But affect is good and I can only hope things will get better. Keep your head up Seattle and have a good weekend.
