Over the weekend I teamed up with long time friend/ photographer Kyle Johnson in the debut look book for Gidget Shop! Anna Mischke my first ever muse/ model was perfect for the part! She looked so amazing in all the outfits and channeled her inner Gidget wonderfully. Below are some outtakes from the shoot! Can't wait to share with you all the final product on www.getwithgidget.com

When I plan wardrobe for a photo shoot I try to achieve two seemingly contradictory goals; variety and uniformity. I wanted a mix of outfits, while still being cohesive. I usually like to do at least 6 outfits for editorials, with one outfit just in case. The shoot included a couple of main outfit motifs; wild prints and velvet. The colors went from light to dark.

When Kyle and I work together it's nothing but carefree, fuss free, fun. We shot all 6 outfits in the matter of 2 hours, and had another hour to spare for food, conversation, and recap. We had an idea prior to the shoot for location, staying central to the International District and Pioneer Square. All back drops had to be colorful, with a sense of city grime.

Above- definitely my favorite outfit/ ensemble from the shoot! 80's printed leggings, with 70's crochet gauze tube top. Accessorized with funky DIY necklace, and candy bracelets.
